This gas giant planet, five times more massive than Jupiter, called 2M1207b in this image rotates around its own star, a brown dwarf in the constellation Hydra.

Although this image is not perceived, the distance between the two is up to 55 times that between Earth and Sun.!

We thank the ESO Paranal telescope VTL who immortalized this picture in 2004 and, after a year of observation, it was confirmed the identity of planet 2M1207b ..
